you can now print posts from my blog and they won't look like shit! i mean, i doubt anyone will actually print pages from my blog, but i'd imagine this will at least make PDFs saved from my blog nicer to look at.
i don't know where the motivation to add a print stylesheet came from, but as my personal life is up in flames right now, it was a nice distraction from the heat and smoke. it was pretty easy too, thanks to the following posts:
- Manuel Matuzović - I totally forgot about print style sheets
- Declan Chidlow via Piccalilli - Printing the web: making webpages look good on paper
- Dudley Storey via Smashing Magazine - 5 Powerful Tips And Tricks For Print Style Sheets
the piccalilli article was especially helpful :)
oh also, Brennan added print styles as part of his journey in becoming a rogue scholar and that was super inspiring! maybe Brennan doing it was subconscious motivation for me to do it too :P
i don't have much else to say on this subject, honestly. it was just a fun little time killer! i love writing CSS and you should too because it's epic. if you have a blog, or something similar, i highly encourage you to add support for print styles. not only is it fun, but it helps your readers too.
